ABOUT
I am passionate about supporting great local & national charities - especially ones with 'get up and (thoughtful) go'. in the last 20+ years we have together raised over £500,000 for various charities through ceilidhs, cricket, concerts, auctions and pond dipping. Charities we have supported in the past are listed at the bottom here. The Hymns is currently proud to notably support the three named below.
1. The Wye & Usk Foundation (reg charity : 1080319) manages habitat restoration over 1,500km of main river and tributaries through Welsh border country for the Wye & Usk, and carries out educational projects with children in the Welsh borders.
2. St Stephens, Old Radnor, is one of the finest medieval churches in Wales, and it is in the lee of this church that The Hymns Farm sits. The church is in need of some repair. If you would like to help, do send a cheque to ‘St Stephen’s Church, Old Radnor’ and address it to The Church Warden, St Stephens, Old Radnor, Powys LD8 2RH
3. The National Gardens Scheme, gardens open for charity. One of the most amazing charities, which has donated around £2.5mm nationally a year to cancer support and care, the hospice movement, nursing and the Parkinsons charity. In Powys, the beautiful county, in which The Hymns is based, the owners of beautiful gardens have raised over £30,000 towards the national total each year. We hope you will visit some of them.
